An engagement shoot & some delicious desserts.
Categories: UncategorizedToday I am sharing some images from an amazing photo shoot I did back in a balmy August with some very talented people. My part of the job was to create fresh looking desserts that were light and required no fondant. I loved it! In all my years of making wedding cakes nobody has ever looked at one of my fondant cakes and said that looks delicious. Beautiful yes, but delicious…not so much. I love to work with fondant and it makes such a great canvas for art work, but when you want a really tasty looking cake, head for the buttercream or chocolate exterior.
The collection included panna cotta with edible flowers in a champagne jelly. There was raspberry meringues with white chocolate mousse and zingy lemon tarts. I even got to use the lavender I bought on my vacation in Provence.
A huge thanks to Niche Stylists for inviting me onto this shoot, thanks to Ellen Ho at Hong Photography for capturing it all so beautifully, and to Life Studios for the super video footage of this amazing day of “work”.
