Sandwich/burger buns

Ingredients: Makes 9 buns
420 g or 1 pack Gusto Artisan Bread & Pizza Mix
330 g warm water
8 g yeast (2 1/4 tsp or 1 packet) active or instant yeast
1 1/2 Tbsp olive oil
2 Tbsp honey, brown sugar or sugar
1/2 Tbsp apple cider vinegar

Directions
**You can skip steps 1 & 2 to simply mix with a wooden spoon. I personally love to use my mixer. Always hydrate the water & yeast together before adding the flour.
-
In the bowl of stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, pour in water. Add the sugar & yeast. Stir to dissolve.
-
Add the flour mix, oil & vinegar, beat on low speed at first then increase to medium (#4 on the kitchen aid) and beat for 2 minutes, scraping down sides a few times.
-
Scoop the dough with an ice cream scoop dipped in water. For a larger bun I use a 1/4 cup scoop, Lightly brush the top with water (to keep the buns soft) & sprinkle with seeds of choice. Shape a little with moist hands to round off, if need be. It’s also a good idea to flatten the buns. They cook & hold better.
-
Cover lightly with plastic wrap and proof in a warm place for 25-30 minutes.
-
Preheat oven to 450°F & proof the breads on the edge of the warm stovetop for 25-30 minutes.
-
Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown, depending on your oven & how big the buns were. Brush with melted butter or a stick of butter.
-
Allow to cool a little on a wire rack, about 15 minutes or so. Slice & serve.
